So just about everyone hates brussel sprouts, right? Not so much eh. Well, here’s how I cook them to make them taste not only edible, but pretty darn good. It’s a two stage event, so get your pot of boiling water ready!
First off, steam or boil the brussel sprouts until cooked pretty much all the way through. Time depends on the size of the sprouts. I prefer to steam, but do what you gotta do.
While the veggies are steaming, chop up some garlic, as much as you want. I love garlic, so I go crazy. No vampires here baby.
Now, when you are done with the sprouts, remove them and slice them in half lengthwise. Toss them in a well oiled pan and start sauting them. Toss in the garlic and when things start to get crunchy around the edges you are done. Season to taste and you are good to go. It doesn’t take long in the skillet, just long enough to start to brown the edges and bring out the flavor of the garlic.
I guarantee this is better than how you’re used to having brussel sprouts!
Enjoy and be healthy.
