Jason’s still working on getting his gear set up for podcasting so I’m putting out another supplemental podcast. On to the show notes:
- Beatboxing without a mic wind-screen.
- Plugging Griddlecakes Radio (www.griddlecakes.com).
- Buying a 5th generation iPod and then finding out the 6th gen has been released.
- Favorite inspirational quotes that keep the weight loss groove going.
- Talking about a 3-month hiatus from weight loss.
- Playing DDR and possibly getting a digital recording.
- Frozen diet meals wear thin, but are back on the menu again - it’s amazing what 3 months will do!
- Biking as a kid vs. as an adult.
- How’d you lose the weight? The answer to offer up at parties.
- Top 10 Reasons not to gain the weight back.
- On tieing your shoes. Check out Ian’s knot site (http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/ianknot.htm).
- Plugging podchick.com and skydivergirls.com - check out chicks jumping out of planes!
Update: The quote about “a journey of 1000 miles” was actually Lao-Tzu, not Confucius. What the hell was I thinking? Someone on the intarweb lied to me, that’s what it was. Yeah. Thanks to Biffster from www.weightjournal.com for the comment!
Greetings! I am Biffster from http://www.weightjournal.com! I found your podcast about a month-and-a-half ago or so. I’ve been listening ever since. You have a very good podcast going on here! Keep up the great work.
I had a couple of notes about the last episode I listened to (this one):
# Favorite inspirational quotes that keep the weight loss groove going.
(Specifically, this is from the Tao Te Ching, chapter 64a.)
You probably had someone correct you on this already, but the “a journey of 1000 miles…” quote is not Confucious, it is Lao-Tzu. Anyone who has studied Taoism/Daoism sat up and said, “oh no he didn’t…”
# Playing DDR and possibly getting a digital recording.
For DDR, have you looked into getting a Playstation 2 or a Nintendo Gamecube? We have a Gamecube with DDR: Mario Mix, and it is great. The only thing better than getting exercise via a video game is getting exercise via a Super Mario Bros. game!
I meant to send an audio comment, but was too slow. I might do so for your next episode, though.
Cheers!
